According to a study in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, men and women are different. A woman who exercises 60 minutes daily is more likely to have a longer life. Exercising more than an hour may not bring many benefits. For those who exercise 90 minutes, they are 39% more likely to live to 90 years. In women, it is 21%.

A follow-up study of the Netherlands Cohort in 1986 found that height, weight, and exercise are associated with increased lifespan.

The study also found a significant correlation between body mass index and longevity. High BMI (BMI) reduces lifespan. The life expectancy of a person with a BMI of 40 has been found to decrease directly by up to 10 years.
